Light On the Spirit's Candle

This is my first time involved in my village cremation procession in mass. I surprised that I found something that I never seen before. Its called as Damar Kurung. First time I thought this is a lampoon same as I saw in Borobudur.

It made from bamboo for the skeleton combined with white fabric/clothes with coconut that had copped, filled by the burning candle/coconut oil.
Some people that I asked said that Damar Kurung is used for offering to gods of fire, if any mistake or sin that had made by the death people is only just the longest part of the light can be reached. So, not all of the village received any curse/bad effect or known as 'Cuntaka' that caused by the sin/mistake of the dead people.

Taken from my uncle and family funeral ceremony in Klungkung, Bali.
